Are you quick to point out the “flaws” of your husband?
Do you tend to focus on what he is doing well? Or do you focus on the little things he does “wrong” – the habits that annoy you?
I know that far too often I am quick to point out the little things that annoy me. I get picky, nag, and blow things out of proportion. If I am not careful, the little, petty things can so easily turn into big things.
That needs to change…
“So encourage each other and build each other up.” – I Thessalonians 5:11a (NLT)
God wants us to love and encourage our husband. He wants us to accept them (flaws and all) because it praises him.
“Accept one another, then, just as Christ accepted you, in order to bring praise to God.” – Romans 15:7 (NIV)
This week I challenge you to look for opportunities to encourage your husband.
Be quick to say “Thank You”.
Tell him you appreciate him.
Point out the things he is doing well.
Remember – A happy marriage makes for a happy home!
